PHASE 1- DAY 4

 30/09/2024 (MONDAY) Report of School Internship (St. Antony’s H.S.S, Valiyathura) The fourth day of our 40- day teaching practice started when we reached our school at 9:10 am. After the morning prayer at 9:20 am, we signed the attendance register and went to the library( our allotted area).  Today there were a lot of substitution hours and we had engaged  the classes with word games and activities. We also had two classes each to teach the portions that had been given to us. We also made sure that discipline was maintained in the corridors during the break time. At 3:30 pm, national anthem was played and after that, we made the students lined up to get into their buses. We had left the school premises at 3:40 pm.

Aavaz (Union of St. Jacob's Training College) with the teacher trainees, staff and the Principal organized Onam celebration. "SNEHATHIRUVONAM", the name signifies standing in unity with the survivors of the lanslide that had happened in Wayanad. UYARE 2K24 - DAY 5

  Day 5 and the last day of the camp began with a workout session. Everyone enjoyed the aerobics session.  Had breakfast by 8:00 am. It was followed by assembly. Later, we had a class on “Counseling insights: a journey through social dynamics” by Smt. Vrindha Nair, Tele counselor, DISHA. She told about counseling and how individual differences should be given importance. Then we had a short tea break. It was followed by a class taken by Smt. Soumya, High School Teacher, St. Joseph’s HSS, on “Teaching Life Competencies”. She made us play different games, which had different lessons to be conveyed. By 1:00 pm, lunch was served. As it was our final day of camp, we had a Valedictory function, and it was addressed by Rev. Fr. Pancretius, Manager, SJTC. By 3:00 pm, the program was wind up with National Anthem.  With this, our five-day community living camp came to an end. I enjoyed and learned many things through this camp.

UYARE 2K24 - DAY 4

  Day 4 began with a morning walk in our college ground. Returned to college by 7:00 am, and had our breakfast. We had our assembly and that day’s activities began by 9:00 am. We had a class on “Creativity in Teaching & Learning Aids” by Sri. Harikrishnan G, Technical Assistant, Govt. Vocational HSS, where we developed ideas on how we can enhance our creativity in teaching the learning process and how we can develop different types of aids. He spoke about why education is important, the importance of creative thinking, and we should be mentally as well as physically strong. Followed by a small tea break, the next class was carried by Sri. Vasanthkrishnan, Deputy Director, NaITER. He enlightened us about how we can Unleash Creativity and Discover Ourselves. He made us play different games in groups, and creative learning was his main theme. Later on, lunch was served by 1:00 pm, followed by class on “How we can Face an Interview” by Sri. UYARE 2K24 - DAY 3

  Day 3 morning began with spiritualty. A sound yoga session made us have a fresh start.     Then we had our breakfast by 8:00 am. We had our assembly in the auditorium from where we began the day 3 activities. We had planned a one day trip and visited Kerala Arts and Crafts Village near Kovalam and saw different handicrafts and methods of making them (utensils using coconut shell, miniature bikes, jewelry using scales, pottery making, handwoven cloths, paintings etc). The place had its own aesthetics, and everyone enjoyed it there. We had our lunch there and after which we visited Kovalam beach by 2:30 pm. We explored the view from the light house in Kovalam. Later, we visited Hawa Beach and enjoyed the rest of the evening watching the waves and sunset. We returned to our college by 6:00 pm and had dinner by 8:00 pm. UYARE 2K24 - DAY 2

  Day 2 of camp began with a Zumba session at 6:00 am. By 9:00 a.m., our activities began and started with an assembly. It was followed by Cloth Bag making organized by group 1 and named the programme "Bodhana Sancharam." During that time, we were preparing the lunch and refreshments. By 11:30 am, a short break was taken where juice and biscuits were distributed. Later, the bag making was continued. Lunch was prepared by 1:00 pm and served. After lunch, a documentary was played. I couldn't be part of it as our team was preparing for the evening snacks and dinner. By 4:00 pm, tea and snacks were distributed.  The main purpose of making the cloth bags was to sell them in the nearby locality and convey the message "Be the Change: Replace Plastic." By 5:00 pm, we moved to the nearby locality to sell them, and along with it, we conducted a survey and asked a few questions related to the usage of plastics among the people. UYARE 2K24 - DAY 1

 Community Living Camp started on the 3rd September, 2024, in our college.  The programme began by 10:00 am with a prayer in the auditorium of our college.  The welcome speech was delivered by Ms. Remya P R, Camp leader. The presidential address was delivered by Dr. Lidson Raj J, Principal, SJTC. Inauguration was done by Prof (Dr.) Giby Geevarughese. It was followed by Felicitation by Rev. Fr. Thadayoose Philip, Vice principal, Dr. Elizabeth Samuel, Associate Professor and Ms. Praveena Venugopal, student coordinator. At the end of the inaugural ceremony, I presented the Vote of Thanks.                                        Dr. Giby enlightened us about “Enhancing the Life Skills”. PHASE 1- DAY 3

  Day 3 (27/09/2024) Report of School Intership We arrived at the school by 9:15 am and signed the attendance register. After prayer, the classes began at 9:30am. The HM instructed us to check the discipline to be maintained in the corridors during break time from the first day itself. Today, most of the hours, we were given class duties as few students were chosen to visit the exhibition hall at St. Roch’s HS, Thope. We engaged the students with different activities and they participated actively. As it was Friday, there was a change in the usual time. The Muslim boys were allowed to go for prayer during the lunch time. The classes came to an end by 3:45 pm. After the students left the school, we signed the register and went back home by 4:00 pm.
